Relationship between fineness and performance of broken products

(1) Influence of ore hardness

The coarser the particle size, the more cracks, the worse the mechanical strength, and the easier it is to grind. The finer the particle size, the better the mechanical strength, and the harder it is to crush. The reason for this phenomenon is that, on the one hand, after the particle size is reduced, the macroscopic and microscopic cracks of the particles are reduced, the particles are relatively homogeneous, and the defects are reduced, so that even the strength of the soft mineral is correspondingly enhanced; The condition deteriorates during fine grinding, the grinding process is difficult to carry out efficiently, and the pulverization probability at the time of fine grinding is low.

(2) Particle size and pulverization efficiency and energy consumption

The utilization coefficient of the fine grinding process mill q-0.074mm is only 10% to 20% of the coarse grinding. The material pulverization process becomes finer with the pulverization particle size, the efficiency decreases, the energy consumption increases sharply, and the finer the particle size of the pulverized particles, the stronger the resistance to pulverization. The reason for this phenomenon is that on the one hand, the strength of the fine particles is increased, and the probability of being ground by the medium is lowered; on the other hand, it may be related to the influence of properties such as surface electrical properties.

(3) Selective crushing

Materials with uneven properties are finely ground during the fine grinding process, and the strength is large. This phenomenon is called selective pulverization. As a result, the intensity of a certain size in the discharge of the mill is larger than that of the same grade in the ore, that is, the wear resistance gradually increases under the fine grinding of the material. As the particle size becomes finer, the strength of the mineral material increases, and the grinding speed of the soft and hard minerals begins to converge.

(4) Condensation and filming of fine-grained materials during pulverization

When the material is finely ground, the surface area increases sharply, the surface energy of the particles increases, and the particles of the material spontaneously gather together to reduce the surface energy, that is, agglomeration occurs. Due to the influence of the unsaturated bond force, the film adheres to the mill barrel and the grinding medium, and the film phenomenon occurs. Coagulation and filming hinder the further progress of fine grinding, and can be suppressed or eliminated by adding a dispersing agent and a surfactant.
