Zhongyuan Petrochemical uses cryogenic technology to recover hydrocarbons

China Drying News Co., Ltd. Recently, Zhongyuan Petrochemical's 1500 standard cubic meters/hour unpowered hybrid hydrocarbon recovery unit was successfully launched. This is the first application of cryogenic separation technology in domestic polyethylene equipment.

According to reports, the system not only has simple process flow, convenient operation and control, and has a small footprint, it is conducive to the reduction of equipment consumption, and it also achieves clean production. It has good economic, environmental and social benefits and is expected to be created annually for the company. The effect is about 5 million yuan.

Polyethylene Cryogenic Separation Device is to transplant non-power recovery ammonia technology into polyethylene tail gas recovery. The system adopts multi-channel cyclic expansion process with sufficient cooling capacity. It can effectively recover hydrocarbon components without external input power. For a long time, after the membrane recovery of Zhongyuan Petrochemical's polyethylene plant, there is still a certain amount of mixed hydrocarbons in the exhaust gas. Even if the fuel gas system is recovered through the flare system, it still contains high value-added 1-butene, isopentane and so on.

Reboiler (also weighing reboiler) as the name suggests is to make the liquid again vaporization. Its structure is similar to that of a condenser, but one is used to cool down.
The reboiler is combined with a fractionating Tower: the reboiler is a special Heat Exchanger that can exchange heat and have a vaporization space at the same time. The material level of the reboiler and the liquid level of the fractionating tower are at the same height. From the bottom of the tower to provide liquid phase into the reboiler. The liquid phase of the 25-30% is normally vaporized in the reboiler. The vaporized two-phase flow was sent back to the tower, return to the tower in the gas phase component upward through the tray, and the liquid components fall back to the bottom of the tower.
The material is heated in the reboiler expansion and vaporization density decreases, thus leaving vaporization space, smooth return to the tower, the tower of the return of gas-liquid two-phase flow, gas and liquid through the tray, fell to the bottom of the tower. Due to the role of static pressure difference, the bottom of the tower will continue to increase the evaporation of the liquid level.
