Pentair Valves & Controls Launches Three Products Specifically Designed for the LNG Industry

Pentair Valve & Control, a world-leading manufacturer and distributor of valves, actuators and control products, launched three dedicated applications for the LNG industry at the WGC PARIS 2015 in Paris, France in June. The valve products are Vanessa Series 30,000 butt-welded top-mounted triple-offset valves (TOV), FCT cryogenic ball valves, and the 9300H pilot-operated safety valve of the Anderson Greenwood brand.

Vanessa triple eccentric valve is highly regarded in the LNG industry. Today, its 30,000 series has a new butt-welded top-mounted product, which is more suitable for gas processing, liquefaction and re-gasification applications. When the temperature reaches minus 196°C, the valve can be directly repaired without having to be disassembled from the production line, greatly improving the inspection efficiency. It also has much higher sealing performance than international standards. It is also equipped with a Nitronic® 50 solid seal ring, and has higher corrosion resistance and bending strength. An additional bonnet protects the product from low temperatures, a full-stroke, frictionless design, and a Stellite® 21 surfacing valve seat, enabling longer life without the need for equipment maintenance. In addition, the valve trim can also be safely removed from the valve body.

FCT cryogenic ball valves maintain robust and reliable performance in extreme environments for gas handling and liquefaction applications. It has a highly complete stem seal and a variety of optional body materials for temperatures as low as 196°C. The FCT deep-cooled ball valve integrates Pentair Valves' and control's rich expertise and experience in the LNG industry to effectively enhance safety, operational efficiency, and production efficiency.

The 9300H is an upgraded version of the famous Anderson Greenwood brand pioneer safety valve 9300 series. The more optimized design has increased its work flow by 30%. It also minimizes the space occupied by LNG storage tanks, which undoubtedly helped solve land and marine LNG. The common problems faced by storage facilities are particularly pronounced for LNG vessels with limited space. In addition, after the increase of the working flow, it is not necessary to use larger size valves to achieve effective and rapid pressure release, which brings more flexibility to the design of LNG transportation and processing equipment. The 9300H has a significant advantage in the pressure control field of LNG because operating costs, operating efficiency, and maintenance inspections all have an impact on reducing unexpected equipment failures.
