It is reported that Cargotec's MacGregor has received a $21 million order to provide an optimized cargo handling system for five 10500TEU new container ships of Hapag-Lloyd.
It is understood that these new ships are being built by Hyundai Sanhu Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. and are expected to be delivered from October 2016 to May 2017, mainly deployed on South American routes.
The optimized MacGregor cargo handling system for each vessel includes hatch covers, lashing bridges, loose lashing systems and container fittings, and related software and lifecycle support packages.
