These organizations have played a significant role in the development and application of hydraulic engineering machinery across various sectors such as road construction, railway projects, port terminals, mining operations, and both industrial and civil construction. Among these applications, construction cranes are particularly notable. Currently, the largest crane in the country has a lifting capacity of about 50 tons, and reaching 50 tons or even exceeding 100 tons presents considerable challenges.
One of the key technical difficulties lies in the dual-luffing mechanism, especially when using hydraulic components. The hydraulic balance valve is a critical component in this system, and it remains one of the biggest challenges in achieving stable and safe performance for large-tonnage cranes. At present, the counterbalance valves produced domestically are not sufficient to meet the performance requirements for high-capacity cranes, particularly those with dual-cylinder luffing systems.
To address this issue, the research team conducted an in-depth investigation into various types of hydraulic balance valves both domestically and internationally. Based on their findings, they proposed innovative solutions and successfully developed a new hydraulic balance valve. This achievement represents a major breakthrough in improving the safety, stability, and efficiency of large-tonnage cranes, paving the way for future advancements in the field of hydraulic engineering.
