It's similar to a washing machine, but with a few standard radiators, it brings a bright feeling to your eyes and makes the cold winter feel like spring. This is a new type of heating equipment based on electromagnetic heat pump technology. Currently, this innovative technology has been established in the Daqing Hi-Tech Zone Venture Plaza.
Electric heating is now challenging traditional heating methods. It has even received national patent protection and filled a global gap in electromagnetic heat pump technology. Its unique performance and charm are becoming increasingly evident. Traditional heating systems such as gas or coal-based heating are expensive, noisy, and environmentally harmful. They also suffer from significant heat loss, leading to high costs per square meter. Most residential areas have large boiler rooms, chimneys, and coal heaps, creating dust and noise, along with the need for constant maintenance.
In northern cities, heating costs often reach around 35 yuan per square meter during winter. Even without central heating, gas or fuel heating is commonly used, but these options come with safety risks, high energy consumption, and environmental concerns. While many new heating products have emerged, their effectiveness remains limited.
Zhang Zhihua, the inventor of this project, has gained widespread recognition, and coal companies are showing great interest in his "miracle." This technology has transformed a massive boiler room into a compact home appliance. It’s another successful achievement backed by the Daqing municipal government.
Professor Zhang Zhihua, now over 60 years old, graduated from Shenyang Institute of Technology in 1966 and has dedicated his career to physics research and teaching. He has made significant contributions in electromagnetic technology. In 1997, he developed a rare earth permanent magnet multi-ring synchronous motor, which led to the creation of a plate (slice) seal pump, earning him a national patent. This invention revolutionized the pump industry.
In 1999, his electromagnetic heat pump was recognized as a national new product and granted an invention patent. The technology is considered the most advanced and modern in the field.
The Daqing municipal government has taken a strong interest in this hi-tech project. After learning about the innovation, city leaders actively supported its industrialization. The electromagnetic heating equipment is based on the electromagnetic heat pump, which evolved from the electromagnetic pump. This pump eliminates the traditional motor sleeve structure and mechanical transmission, allowing for a shaftless design that prevents leaks and improves efficiency.
When powered, the planar stator coil creates a rotating magnetic field that induces motion in the rotor. This process results in a heat conversion rate of 100% and a pump efficiency exceeding 130%. According to reports from Liaoning Province, this technology fills a global gap and is the first of its kind.
At the exhibition, it was observed that whether using two-phase or three-phase power, as long as there is electricity, the device starts working immediately, and the radiator becomes warm instantly. No noise, no hassle—just simple and effective. This technology can be used for household heating, supporting pumps for boilers, air conditioners, fans, and especially in industrial applications, including petrochemical fields.
Experts believe that electromagnetic heating is more beneficial to human health than any other method. Combined with low-temperature radiation geothermal water, it provides clean, comfortable, and healthy heating.
Daqing tested this technology in the Wanbao district, where indoor temperatures reached 18–19°C during winter, with heating costs as low as 23 yuan per square meter. It saves time, labor, and money, making it an ideal choice for homes, businesses, hospitals, schools, and both individual and central heating systems.
