World's first front central airbag

World's first front central airbag On September 29, General Motors released the world's first practical front-mounted central airbag. The front central airbag is located in the driver's seat near the center of the cabin. When the driver's seat is impacted from outside the door, it deploys to prevent the driver from being thrown to the front passenger's seat for additional damage.

The universal front-mounted central airbag is expected to be the first to be equipped with the safety device in the entire Buick Enclave series that will be sold in the United States in 2013. The GMC Acadia and Chevrolet Traverse's electric seats are standard equipment. This front center airbag, Japan's TAKATA has participated. Adrian Lund of the U.S. Road Safety Insurance Association strongly agrees with this plan.
