Recently, 200MVA/330kV auto-coupled phase-shifting transformers independently designed, independently manufactured, and owned with independent intellectual property rights were manufactured by Baohe Electric. The main performance indicators meet or exceed the requirements of international standards and technical agreements. Up to now, based on the successful manufacture of Baochang Electric's first product, the second product has also been assembled and tested.

This product is China's first auto-coupling PM transformer. Compared with the phase-shifted transformers that the company has developed, this kind of auto-phase-shifting transformers have new trends in phase-shift angle calculation, impedance, and loss change, and must be re-derived and verified by simulation. In order to complete this arduous task on time, the manufacturing center has established an effective organization guarantee mechanism, compiled a quality schedule assurance plan, strengthened process quality control, organized elite troops to conduct production battles, and technical personnel promptly provided technical disclosures for various processes. Throughout the process of tracking and serving the production site, front-line staff strictly implement the "three-press" production requirements to ensure quality and progress.

In order to better complete the manufacturing tasks of the batch of export products, ensure product quality, and provide customers with satisfactory products. The workshops of the manufacturing center have formulated a series of production plans based on the structural features of the product, such as separately preparing QC cards to further improve the details of the production operations; the technical difficulties encountered in the manufacturing process of the products, and the workshop technicians are making continuous efforts. Follow-up and formulate reasonable solutions to ensure the smooth completion of production of the exported products.

In order to ensure product quality, each workshop production team arranges experienced squad leaders for manufacturing and assembly work. Front-line staff strengthened their sense of responsibility, familiarized themselves with drawings in advance, and exchanged technical difficulties and key points with relevant technical personnel to achieve targeted results. In the on-site manufacturing assembly process, the employees strictly require themselves to pay attention to the details of product quality, cleaning and other details. They strictly perform self-checks during the operation process, and personnel are responsible for the receipt, inspection and on-site protection of materials. Each procedure has related requirements and regulations, so that everything has rules to follow and everything can be followed. This has laid a solid foundation and reliable guarantee for the smooth production of products.

Since 2002, Baochang Electric has developed and designed various types of single-core phase-shifting transformers, double-core phase-shifting transformers, voltage-regulating phase-shifting transformers, and auto-coupling phase-shifting transformers according to the actual needs of different power grids in the international market. Phase-shifting transformers have achieved nearly 20 sets of principles and functions, and have been successfully exported to power companies in the United States, Canada, and Ghana. These phase-shifting transformers have a maximum capacity of 650 MVA and a maximum rated voltage of 345 kV. With the global energy interconnection and phase-shifting, phase shifting has gradually become an important power device for connection between different power grids.
