South Korean steel giant Pohang announced that its trading subsidiary Daewoo International will build a $20 million offshore supply vessel for Swire Pacific Offshore, a Singapore-based oil and gas service provider.
It is reported that Daewoo will cooperate with Sungjin Geotec, a subsidiary of Pohang, which specializes in offshore equipment manufacturing, to complete the construction of the project within one year. Sungjin Geotec plans to increase its partnership with Daewoo International to expand its share of the global offshore supply vessel market.
