Industrial automation instrument development history

Industrial instrumentation first appeared in the 1930s. It was originally used only for continuous thermal production processes such as chemical engineering, petroleum refining, thermal power, and metallurgy. It was therefore known as a thermal instrument. At that time, the structure of industrial instruments was mainly mechanical or hydraulic. The instrument was large in size and could only be detected, recorded and controlled in situ.

By the end of the 1930s and early 40s, pneumatic instruments appeared, and a uniform pressure signal was used. Instruments with remote transmitters were available. It can reproduce the readings on the secondary instrument outside the long distance, so that it can be centralized in the central control room for detection, recording and control. In the 1950s, electric-type dynamic coil millivoltmeters, electronic potentiometers and electro-mechanical regulators, and a complete set of electronic tube adjustment instruments appeared.

The assembled electronic integrated control device that emerged in the 1980s combines the instrument and production automatic control system organically. The development of industrial instrumentation to promote the automation of industrial production has become an indispensable automated tool in industrial production.
