As a clean fuel product, gas engines and gas vehicles comply with the national energy structure adjustment strategy and energy-saving emission reduction requirements, and have broad market development prospects. Dongfeng Motor Company set out from the overall situation of the Group's strategic development and positioned Nanchong as the clean energy commodity base of Dongfeng Motor Company. The total investment of the project is 150 million yuan, which mainly includes three aspects: First, integrate the group resources (mainly including Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle Company 4H, Dongfeng Shares ZD28, Dongfeng Cummins 6CT, etc.) and form a wide dynamic coverage (80-310 hp). NG gas engine series products with full specifications and models and high quality standards. The second is to transfer Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle's 6105 and 6400 engine production lines to Nanchong production. The third is to increase the NG engine manufacturing and R&D capabilities of Dongfeng Nanchong Company through the addition of key equipment. The project will be completed by July 2013.
At the same time, in order to eliminate barriers to promotion of LNG (liquefied natural gas) engines and their LNG vehicles and open up manufacturing bottlenecks, Dongfeng Nanchong Co., Ltd. and Huayou Gas Guangan Co., Ltd. have invested 9 million yuan to build LNG skid-mounted filling stations in Dongfeng Nanchong Company. One. This is the first LNG filling station in Nanchong City. The completion of the filling station will certainly promote the further development of Dongfeng Nanchong's gas vehicles and engines.
