Recently, China First Heavy Machinery Group Co., Ltd. and South Korea's Posco Steel signed a 5.5m rolling mill manufacturing export project contract. This is China's largest mill ever exported, and China's first time to provide key production equipment to world-class steel companies.
This 5.5m rolling mill is designed by Germany's SMS and designed by China. It is the world's largest wide-width plate mill with a total weight of 7173t and a total contract price of US$36.34 million. China has two major parts of the rough rolling mill area and the finishing mill area, which is the core part of the entire rolling line. The weight of the frame of this rolling mill is 430t. At present, only a few companies such as China Heavy and Double are capable of producing. The project will be completed by November 2009.

Ignite Status:
