The carbon dioxide emission intensity of transportation decreased by 7% compared with 2015; the ecological protection achieved positive results, the transportation infrastructure construction fully complied with the baseline requirements of ecological function guarantee, and a number of green transportation infrastructure demonstration projects were completed.
Wu Chungeng revealed that in the next step, the Ministry of Transport will focus on seven major projects including transportation structure optimization, organizational innovation, green travel, resource intensification, equipment upgrade, pollution prevention and ecological protection.
