The recall of the Buick Regal 2.0-liter sedan produced by Shanghai General Motors from December 17, 2002 to September 28, 2004 involved a total of 27,168 vehicles. Shanghai General Motors' recall action is only aimed at the defective 2.0-liter Buick Regal. The other two Buick Regal 2.5-liter V6 and 3.0-liter V6 models and other models produced by Shanghai General Motors are different because of different product designs. There is this defect and there is no need for a recall. The recalled Buick Regal 2.0 liter sedan due to the layout and connection of the vacuum hose is not reasonable. In the process of use, frequent vibration may cause the loose connection of the vacuum hose and the brake vacuum booster. In extreme cases, the vacuum hose will The detachment from the vacuum booster causes the vacuum assist to fail, which results in the driver needing to increase the brake pedal force to achieve the braking effect. This defect was determined by Shanghai General Motors after analyzing and demonstrating market information, research, and engineering experiments. So far, according to the feedback information collected by the Shanghai General Motors Buick Special Service Center, there were three minor traffic accidents caused by Buick Regal 2.0 litre passengers due to this defect, and no casualties occurred. Shanghai General Motors will add fixed clamps to the recalled Buick Regal 2.0-liter sedan vacuum hose to prevent loosening. Shanghai General Motors will use CRM (Customer Relationship Management System) to notify users who fall within the recall scope and implement comprehensive customer service tracking and records.
