1. Screw pump (PCP) drive system for gas removal in water wells
Hydraulic Energy Products, Inc. (HEP) has developed a three-part gas well liquid removal system that automatically removes water from gas wells, especially CBM wells. The system can self-monitor and adjust, if the drive rate is too high or too low, you can signal the police. The system can be manually variable speed by hydraulic power head and hydraulic power brake.
The hydraulic powerhead and motor drive system from HEP provide four torque ranges and connect the 11/4 in oil rod with a conventional friction pressure block (nipple). The largest drive motor can support the column and 5000ft of water column pressure, while deep well fluid from 2500ft 2000bbl or 4000bbl. The maintenance-free drive replaces the conventional packing box by rotating parts.
The system, combined with HEP's hydraulic power brakes, gives full control of the back-spin and consumes energy through a safety brake. The system's drive equipment can be mounted on a threaded connection to a 3-way valve or on a flange that conforms to the API 8 bolt standard. Currently this drive unit is available in two models: 12 in3 / rev and 26in3 / rev. There are now a total of 10 drive systems in operation, two years from the beginning to the present, during which no maintenance was carried out.
2. Liquid level monitor and controller
The patented level controller from Applied Energy Products maintains the liquid level by calibrating and changing the drive speed of the downhole screw pump (PCP). For a particular well, calculations are based on actual data and formation fluid production. The recalculation frequency can be changed to meet changing well conditions. The Level Control System (LLC) has two separate computers, a collection of information or monitoring formation water into the casing in order to make the surface fluctuate, one to analyze and issue appropriate instructions to increase and decrease the hydraulic pump Small fluid volume, thereby changing the speed downhole PCP. LLC maintains the fluid level between the lowest perforation (or user-defined height) and the PCP inlet height to maintain maximum gas production.
In order to adjust the required rate, the controller also provides a manual method, the use of automatic operation when there is uncertainty. If the operating range (high or low) is exceeded, the monitoring and data acquisition system will record detailed system performance and send signals. LLC has been installed in the well and has been theoretically validated but not yet on the market.
