I just received this update from Scott Peterson regarding an incident that occurred early Tuesday morning:
"This happened on Tuesday, June 19 at around 4:50 AM in Hebron, Illinois, specifically at 12908 Hebron Road, Box 5-871. It started as a third-alarm situation involving all equipment but escalated to a fifth-alarm response due to the involvement of tenders only.
Fire departments from MABAS divisions 5, 103, 101, and 4 all sent resources to assist. Fortunately, despite the extensive damage, no cows were harmed on this dairy farm.
The images attached really capture the scale of the destruction. You can see the remnants of what used to be a dairy barn completely obliterated by the fire. The firefighters worked tirelessly under challenging conditions to try and control the blaze. There are also photos showing the massive turnout of emergency vehicles on the scene, which gives you an idea of how serious the situation was."
