CFD Engine 16’s new house

Hey everyone, I just got back from a quick drive around the south side of Chicago. It was one of those days where I decided to explore and check out some new developments. First up, I stopped by the brand-new Engine 16 firehouse at 59 East Pershing Road. The place looks absolutely impressive—so modern and well-designed. It’s always exciting to see how these stations are evolving with time. After that, I made my way over to Fleet Operations on 43rd Street to take a look at the new vehicles they’ve got there. The buggies for the battalion chiefs are sleek and functional. It’s clear that the department is investing in top-notch equipment to keep their teams running smoothly. I couldn’t help but snap a few photos while I was there. I hope you all enjoy them as much as I enjoyed taking them. Here’s a little peek into what’s new in our city’s firefighting operations. [Attached are three images—one of Engine 16’s new firehouse, another showing the side view of the station, and the last one featuring the new buggies.] It’s always great to see progress and innovation happening right here in Chicago. Let me know what you think about these updates! Best, Josh
