The product adopts a new titanium catalyst independently developed by Sinopec, replacing the ruthenium-based catalyst containing heavy metals and is named “NEPâ€, ie, Non-heavy (non-heavy metal), Ecological (Eco) and Polyester (polyester). Does not contain heavy metals, eco-friendly polyester products.
In May 2009, NEP polyester chips were developed and put into production by Shanghai Petrochemical and Shanghai Petrochemical Research Institute. Previously, only three companies in the United States and Japan were able to produce similar products. Because of its environmental characteristics, NEP polyester is widely used in food packaging and other fields abroad.
