Continental Group’s Wuhu plant continued its growth strategy and invested 10 million yuan to expand a new factory. On December 12, 2011, local government officials and the management of Continental Group attended the factory expansion ceremony. Starting from the end of December, the new production facility will produce sensors and actuator business units for the powertrain system department and products for the fuel supply system business unit.

In the past 15 years, Continental Automotive (Wuhu) Co., Ltd. has produced high-quality products using innovative technologies in China and contributed its own strength to the development of the Chinese automotive market. The original factory area is approximately 27,000 square meters, with approximately 2,500 employees, to support business operations in China and serve local and global customers. In order to increase its production capacity to adapt to its strong development momentum, the Continental Group’s Wuhu plant invested in a new production facility with an area of ​​approximately 1,500 square meters. The new facility currently has about 400 employees. In terms of capacity, the use of the new facility will increase the output of the actuator cover by about 60%, the output of the electronic throttle body (ETC) by about 10%, and the output of the rotor line of the fuel supply system by about 30%. These products are suitable for parallel sales of local and global automotive market segments.
