CFD updates

Early one recent morning, a two-alarm fire broke out on Chicago's South Side, unfortunately not providing ideal conditions for capturing compelling fire images. However, it served as an opportunity to document several firefighting units responding to the scene, adding them to our collection. All the photos were taken at night, and while they'll eventually be replaced with daytime shots, they still allow us to showcase some of the equipment involved. One highlight of the event was Engine 32's brand-new 2009 Spartan Crimson apparatus, which recently entered service. The engine looks impressive, and its inclusion adds significant value to our coverage. Other units captured during the incident include Light Wagon 9-1-5, Engine 34, Hose Wagon 6-1-1, and Battalion 21. These updates reflect our ongoing efforts to keep the site current and informative. Looking ahead, we anticipate adding several more units in the coming days. Among those expected to appear are Engine 64 and Ambulance 27, Engine 88 and 4-5-5, Engine 101 and Truck 41, Engine 129 and Truck 50, along with Engine 15, Battalion 20, and Ambulance 18. These additions will come directly from the fire scene, ensuring that our coverage remains comprehensive and up-to-date. While the initial images may lack the vibrancy of daylight photography, they still offer valuable insights into the diverse range of firefighting resources deployed across Chicago. We’re committed to enhancing the quality and variety of our content, so stay tuned for future updates featuring clearer daytime shots. This fire incident, though challenging to photograph, has provided a unique chance to document additional assets, further enriching our collection.
