Hey everyone,
This just came in from Brad Steinweg. He shared some photos of the four-alarm fire that broke out this Friday in Harvey, specifically near the intersection of 147th and Halsted. It was quite a scene! Apparently, there was another fire going on around the same time at 145th and Union Avenue, but Brad didn’t manage to get any shots of that one.
Here’s what he had to say:
> "Photos from the 4 alarm in Harvey this Friday at 147th & Halsted. They also had a 2nd one going at 145th & Union AVE that I did not get to."

Take a look at these images. They really capture the intensity of the situation. Brad’s photography does an amazing job highlighting the scale of the response. You can see multiple fire engines and support vehicles all working together to tackle the blaze.

The first image shows the house engulfed in flames. The firefighters were clearly working hard to contain it.
Then there’s a shot of Thornton FD’s Engine 777.

And here’s Dolton FD’s tower ladder in action.

There’s also a great angle of Phoenix FD’s fire engine.

For comparison, check out Homewood Fire Department’s engine.

And Flossmoor’s fire engine as well.

Another shot of the house fire in Harvey.

A different angle of the same fire.

Finally, here’s another view of Dolton FD’s tower ladder.

It’s incredible how organized and efficient everyone was during this incident. These photos really give you a sense of the teamwork involved in managing such a large-scale emergency. If anyone has more details or personal experiences to share about this event, feel free to drop them in the comments below!
Stay safe out there.
