In June 2005, the LJL52-10 well showed significant production changes. It produced 10 tons of Nissan oil, 2.1 tons of Nissin oil, and had a water cut of 76.4%. Then, on September 7, the same well produced 6.2 tons of Nissan oil, 4.5 tons of Nissin oil, with a water cut of 26% and a liquid volume of 1215 cubic meters. This dramatic improvement was due to the implementation of rod pump efficient lifting technology.
The Bennian Oil Production Plant had many low-yield wells, where the mechanical extraction efficiency was below 10%. Most oil plants still used tubular pumps for oil extraction, but the depth of these pumps was limited, typically ranging from 1400 to 1800 meters. For deeper wells, the traditional tubular pump couldn't reach the desired depth, which created a problem known as "out of reach."
In July 2005, the oil extraction plant introduced the rod pump efficient lifting supporting technology. This new system used small-diameter oil pumps for continuous lifting, allowing for deep pumping at depths between 2200 and 2300 meters. The first test was conducted in well LJL52-10, and it was successfully put into production on August 7, showing very positive results. A second test is currently being carried out in well LJL52-12 to further evaluate the performance of this technology.
This advancement has opened up new possibilities for improving oil recovery in deep wells and increasing overall production efficiency. The success of this project highlights the importance of adopting modern technologies to address long-standing challenges in oil extraction.
