House fire in Crystal Lake, 4-15-17

On April 14, 2017, a house fire broke out at 4005 Illinois Street in Crystal Lake, covered by the Nunda Rural FPD. Steve Redick captured several images of the emergency response, including apparatus from multiple fire departments working together to contain the blaze. A Box Alarm was issued, calling for tenders to supply water to the scene. The photos show a variety of fire engines and tankers, including the Cary FPD tender, the Nunda Rural FPD mini pumper, and the Grayslake FPD tanker. Other units on the scene included the Union FPD tanker, Algonquin-Lake in the Hills fire engine, McHenry Township FPD fire truck, Round Lake FPD fire engine, Mundelein Fire Department Truck 431, Fox Lake FPD fire engine, Fox River Grove FPD tanker, and Nunda Rural FPD Engines 41 and 45. These images highlight the collaborative effort between different fire departments to respond to the incident. Each unit played a critical role in supporting the primary firefighting efforts at the scene.

Fired Heater

Flame heater is a kind of equipment that uses the heat energy generated by the combustion of flame to heat.
