This is a double-stage high-speed oil-sealed rotary vane vacuum pump. It comes equipped with a gas-ballast valve, which helps to reduce the partial pressure of vapor in the discharge by introducing air into the exhaust chamber. This prevents vapor from condensing inside the pump oil and avoids oil emulsification due to moisture, thereby extending the life of the oil. However, when the gas-ballast valve is open, the ultimate vacuum level may decrease slightly, and the pump temperature might rise.
The pump is known for its compact size, lightweight design, quiet operation, and ease of starting. It also includes features that prevent oil backflow and leakage, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
Field of Application
1. This pump is a fundamental component used to evacuate sealed vessels. It can be used independently as a main pump or as a forepump for booster pumps, diffusion pumps, and molecular pumps. It can also function as a holding pump for vacuum systems or as a pre-pump for various types of pumps. It finds applications in electro-vacuum industries, vacuum flask manufacturing, vacuum welding, and as an accessory for precision gauges and meters requiring vacuum conditions. Its small size, light weight, and quiet performance make it ideal for laboratory use.
2. The pump can operate continuously for extended periods under atmospheric temperatures ranging from 5°C to 40°C, provided the intake pressure remains below 1230 Pa. If the pumped gas contains more than 90% relative humidity, the gas-ballast valve should be opened.
3. The pump must not run for more than one minute if the inlet port is fully open to the atmosphere.
4. It is not suitable for pumping oxidizing, toxic, explosive, or corrosive gases, nor gases that react chemically with the pump oil or contain dust particles.
