Li Shujun, chairman of the China Food and Packaging Machinery Industry Association, said recently that "in the past eight years, the development of China's food and packaging machinery manufacturing industry has been showing a good momentum of development. The various indicators such as product sales revenue have skyrocketed, averaging 18% each year. Since the second half of 2008, despite the impact of the international financial crisis, China's food and packaging machinery manufacturing industry has maintained a trend of conversely rising."
However, he also pointed out that China's food and packaging machinery manufacturing industry still needs to vigorously improve its independent innovation capabilities to meet the needs of China's rapidly developing food industry.
