Horizontal lifeline definition and application

When installing on steel roofing, the operating surface is generally between 6-9 meters away from the ground, which belongs to the field of aerial work. When the operator walks on the steel structure beam or the purlin, the walkway is narrow, generally 40 cm or less, and the seat belt is not reliably connected, and the fall of the person is a great safety hazard. In order to ensure the safety of the high-altitude workers, a series of wire rope grid lines are temporarily installed during the construction process on the aerial work surface of the steel structure. This temporarily installed steel wire rope is called “lifeline” and the workers are working at high altitude. When the seat belt worn on the body is buckled on the "lifeline", in the event that the operator falls and falls, the body can still hang on the lifeline and will not fall to the ground and cause a safety accident.
Horizontal lifeline layout and safety technical requirements
The "lifeline" layout and safety technical requirements generally meet the following points: (1) Safe and reliable, must ensure sufficient strength and stability, so as to withstand the fall of the person
The impulse generated by the "lifeline". (2) Convenient and feasible, the “lifeline” of the layout must not affect every operation of the project, and the operators are convenient to use during the operation. (3) It is easy to install and dismantle. It is not suitable to install too much manpower and material resources for the installation and removal of “Lifeline”, so as not to affect the progress schedule and cost of the project.
The "lifeline" is generally implemented after the steel beam is hoisted. First, a main "lifeline" is placed around the building, and then the "lifeline" is placed along the direction of the steel beam.
The height of the "lifeline" is about 20 cm higher than the top of the beam. The "lifeline" bracket is placed at a position not far from the intersection of the axis, and is made of angle steel and connected to the fixture, which is then connected to the flange plate of the steel beam. The wire rope is 7.7 mm (19*6+1), which should be free from damage, broken wire, no serious deformation, and good with the buckle of the bracket.
Horizontal lifeline use and maintenance
When the operator climbs the roof beam and starts working at height, the seat belt must be fastened to the “lifeline”. When working and walking, the seat belt should be buckled on the “lifeline” and moved with the personnel. When installing sandalwood, diagonal braces and installing roofing, any construction personnel must use it, and may not use it for a period of time or use it. (2) Send a special person to check the usage of “Lifeline” every day. If it is found to be worn or otherwise safe, take immediate measures to correct it and make a record. Also check the connection between “Lifeline” and brackets, fixtures and roof beam flange plates. If any looseness or other safety hazard is found, take immediate measures to correct it and make a record.
Risk assessment of the use, installation and removal of horizontal lifelines
Material transport, check the strength of the transport ropes to confirm that there is no serious wear. Check the lashing area to confirm that the lashing is firm and reliable.
Operators work and walk at high altitudes to check if the seat belt is securely fastened to the lifeline. Check the wire rope for wear. Fasten your seat belts correctly.
The removal of the lifeline and the removal of the joints, when removing the wire rope on the roof, the operator should cautiously crawl on the roof beam and temporarily fix the seat belt on the beam or the stringer. 2. When removing the connecting piece, use the scaffold to climb to the working point, pay attention to loosening the applied force of the bolt evenly, so as to avoid the excessive force and lose the center of gravity and fall from the height.
